dr. sc. Martino Rossi Monti / životopis

Martino Rossi Monti was born in Florence in 1978. In 2002 he graduated in philosophy from the University of Florence, where he also earned his PhD in 2007. In 2006-2007 he was visiting student at the University of Chicago, Divinity School. In 2008-2009 and 2011-212 he held post-doctoral fellowships in philosophy at the University of Florence. In 2011 he was awarded an Endeavour Research Fellowship from the Australian Government and conducted research at the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Among his research interests: evil, suffering and violence in the history of ideas; history of pain; Renaissance philosophy; Plotinus and the Platonic tradition.
