Boran Berčić
How to deal with scepticism?

In this article author tries to analyse three types of sceptical arguments; Aenesidemus’ like arguments from relativity, Agrippa’s regress argument and Descartes’ argument from uncertainty. Further, author examines six different answers to the problem of the existence of the external world; realism and antirealism (metaphysical answers), foundationalism, coherentism and pragmatism (epistemic answers) and verificationism (semantical answer).
Finally, author tries to show that the pragmatic answer is the most promising one because, among other things, it shifts the burden of proof onto the shoulders of the sceptic.
